AniCura Kalmarsund is located on the southeast coast of Sweden and consists of Läckeby Veterinary Hospital, Kalmar City Clinic and four smaller local clinics in the region. Together we are 135 employees who are passionate about animal healthcare and its development. Our veterinary hospital in Läckeby is set in beautiful countryside only 10 minutes’ drive from the coastal town of Kalmar, whereas the City Clinic of Kalmar is a totally refurbished veterinary clinic, only 10 minutes’ walk from the town center.
In AniCura Kalmarsund we offer a wide range of specialist care as well as emergency services and referrals. With around 35000 yearly visits, we are the region’s largest referral center and emergency provider. Over the last two years we have been expanding our diagnostics services to include an 80-slice Toshiba Aquillion Lightning SP CT scanner and a 0,2 T Esaote Vet Grande MRI. The organization is also fully equipped with digital radiography, two GE Logiq E9 ultrasound scanners, a Siemens Actavis C-arm and PACS.
We are now looking to recruit a Specialist in Diagnostic Imaging to lead our imaging team that we wish to expand. We seek a devoted team player who thrives in a collaborative environment development of veterinary medicine. You are educated to specialist level within Diagnostic Imaging and have a few years’ experience within the profession. You would work at both Läckeby Veterinary hospital and Kalmar Veterinary Clinic together with other experienced specialists and colleagues.
As a Specialist in Diagnostic Imaging your duties will include optimizing our imaging protocols, referred ultrasonography, CT and MRI interpretations and training and development of colleagues interested in furthering their knowledge within diagnostic imaging. You will have a prominent role in AniCura Kalmarsunds development within the subject area, and it will be a great opportunity for someone who is interested in developing their own specialist knowledge and research even further. In AniCura you will have the opportunity to take part in the medical interest group for Digital Imaging (AniCura MIG). The medical interest groups discuss best practice in diagnostics and treatment, new research and findings and the management of individual, particularly difficult or unusual cases.
